The Mettle Academy offers a bespoke Mixed Martial Arts curriculum for children aged four through seven years called ‘Mini Dragons’ designed to enhance character development skills such as respect, integrity, courtesy, self-esteem, concentration, confidence, and friendships. Whether your goal for your child is to achieve better grades in school, gain self-control, increase fitness or improve self-esteem, Mettle Martial Arts Academy’s Mini Dragons program is ready to help your child achieve success!
The Mettle Academy’s Mini Dragons program is designed to introduce children from the age of four to the world of proprioception. The course helps children develop an awareness of their own body, and how it moves. The class program teaches children to differentiate between their left and right and challenges both sides of their brain in order to coordinate both sides of their body.
The Mini Dragons program learn a mixture of different simplified Martial Arts skills and disciplines as they study some of the basic techniques found in Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai, Filipino Kali, and Boxing in a safe, controlled and encouraging environment. The curriculum is both fun and challenging for students as they practice a range of different techniques that set the foundations that are further developed once they graduate into our Little Dragons program.
The beginner module includes eight videos detailing each drill as taught at The Mettle Academy.
