The Martial arts are not about fighting;
I started my martial arts journey looking to learn how to fight. Through years of study, I have been both humbled and empowered, growing physically, mentally and spiritually along the way. I have come to realise that the martial arts are not about the destruction of my opponent, but rather about self-preservation. But it's also a lot more than that: it's about self-development, self-respect and self-fulfilment. My training has prepared me to face my greatest enemy, and discover my greatest master: myself.
The martial arts are about building character, developing confidence and, ultimately, discovering one's true self. The opportunity to share the legacy of knowledge passed on to me is an honour. I welcome you to join us at the Mettle Academy and start forging your own path.
